Deltic to Lincoln Xmas Market ... and Barnetby.
7th December 2007

Brush Type 2 No. 31601 passes through Barnetby light engine whilst we wait for the sound of Napier Engines.

Seen in the distance from Barnetby station footbridge 55022 "Royal Scots Grey" restarts from a signal check on the Wrawby Jn to Lincoln line.

The sun catches the whole train as it negotiates Wrawby Junction.

A complicated move puts the train into the Barnetby sidings, where it will be stabled for two hours having brought a
railtour to Lincoln Xmas Market from Scotland.

A road tanker is off picture to left as loco is refuelled. To right of loco a breakdown crew work on an EWS coal "cripple".

An immaculate 67029 hauls another Lincoln Xmas Market special ECS train (VSO Pullman stock).
This train was reportedly due to stable next to RSG but the crippled wagon meant that it actually went to Immingham reception sidings.

Not everyday you see Pullmans at Barnetby!

Train was "top and Tailed" with 67005 at rear.

55022 runs around train in Barnetby sidings ready for return to Lincoln at 1518 hrs.

55022 heads towards Wrawby Jn and its train.

Seen from Caistor - Brigg road, 55022 has just left Barnetby and heads ECS for its charter passengers at Lincoln.
