Welshpool Raven Square station looking towards Llanfair.
The 13.00 from Llanfair Caereinion arrives at Welshpool Raven Square.
No 822 is uncoupled and runs down to the water tower...
...where the loco is oiled and watered.
For the refreshment of the footplate crew the station staff have
placed a tray of tea on the buffer stop - very nice!
The 14.15 departure from Welshpool Raven Square seen "over the
hedge"...
...and from the car park.
A quich dash down the A458T allows me to capture the train as it
approaches Sylfaen station.
Another quich dash and the train is seen again at Castell Caereinion
station..
..where a stop board is used by the crew to halt road traffic. Plans
are to have an automated crossing here.
The same train now seen crossing Banwy Bridge from a roadside
