"Winston Churchill" seen earlier in week bringing a train into Hythe station on 25/10/15


Having arrived at Hythe the loco is now seen on the release road where it will run back to the turntable to be turned
and watered before returning with its train to New Romney - 25/10/15


No 1 "Green Goddess" emerges from New Romney tunnel with a train for Dungeness...

The following train was in charge of No.2 "Northern Chief" seen about to enter Dungeness station.


"Northern Chief" stands at Dungeness station.


I`ve always been intrigued by the balloon loop used by the RHDR at Dungeness - so a trek over the shingle led
me to the points where the train regains the single line to New Romney.

No.8 "Hurricane" seen the following day at New Romney about to depart for Hythe.

Loco runs round train and then onto turntable in Hythe yard.

An impressive departure from Hythe with cylinder drain cocks open...


... and "Hurricane" begins the 13.5 mile journey to Dungeness.
