A nice photograph
showing the complex track layout at the end of the pier. Typically at
this time trains to & from Grimsby and Cleethorpes
used the right hand platform 1 whilst trains to & from Barton on
Humber used platform 2 on left. Coal trucks on centre road supplied the
ferries.

Passengers who have
just arrived on the ferry from Hull walk the length of the pier to New
Holland Town station. The train from Pier station,
behind photographer, is signalled to leave so possibly they have left
their cars in the Town station car park.
