The information provided by the tour organisers read as follows:-

"The New Holland Pier is unsafe for locomotives so they must stop short of the wooden section at Town station.
 Only the first four coaches will be accommodated on the New Holland Town platforms so we ask you to walk
forward before arrival at the station of you intend to take photographs or visit Pier station. ".....!
