The last train to leave Louth station for Kings Cross seen at Monk's
Dyke crossing in Louth on October 4th 1970.
Looking closely at the signal shows it at danger, and the train had
to stop as the crossing gates were stuck across the line!
The trackbed of the East Lincolnshire Railway has now been converted
to a pleasant "Railway Walk" by East Lindsey District Council.
This starts at the site of the level crossing in Monks Dyke Rd and
continues to Stewton Lane.

The electricity pylons have been erected on the disused
trackbed. Mablethorpe Junction signalbox was behind the metal fence
where it disappears into the bushes behind the car.
