prior to departure (steam hauled all way)
to London Kings Cross.
Thompson B1 locomotive society`s 61264 disguised
as 61001 "Eland" receives last minute attention from support crew at Cleethorpes.
The original "Eland" nameplates are owned
by RTC.
The B1 getting into its stride passing through
Grimsby Docks station (now an unstaffed single track affair) at 0625hrs.
Looking at ease on former B1 territory the
special heads towards Pasture St. level crossing and its second pickup
at Grimsby Town station.

Passengers having alighted at the Cross and
the whole train is towed out of station.
The train returned to Cleethorpes, as planned
by diesel power, later in day.
