The photographer commented that the line looked as though it was "on its last legs - but then it probably always did!".
 It actually ran for another 7 years before closure.

The photographer also mentioned that he was the only railway enthusiast on the train that day. All others appeared
to be holidaymakers using the LCLR as transport to and from the Humberston Fitties caravan park.
