"Vanguard" is stopped at the signal gantry whilst "Valiant" climbs
the grade around the back of the engine shed...
..and passes under the gantry to attain the outer circuit.

4-4-2 "Valiant" was built by Southern Miniature Railways Ltd and
operated at Southsea.
4-4-2 no. 4808 worked at Poole Park Miniature Railway until 1965.
A battery electric tram engine on a short train at the western end
of the site.
A "Sante Fe" diesel unit proved very popular with the children.
