& Bolton Abbey Steam Railway

September 2019
The 1903 built NER Electric Autocar
enters Embsay station.
A group of satisfied passengers have just
disembarked from the autocar.
The interior of the autocar showing the
tram style seats whose backs can be reversed to face direction of
travel.

The diesel power unit is situated at one end of the autocar behind the
driving position. This was originally a petrol unit.

The power unit seen from the passenger accomodation.
The sliding doors can be closed for a quieter journey.

Now seen at Bolton Abbey station after passengers had disappeared into
the cafe.

View from platform end.

A timeless view of the waiting train.

Almost ready for the 12.45 departure back to Embsay. A fine looking
vehicle!
