55009 "Alycidon" brings the "Capital
Deltic Reprise" into Stallingborough in strong low sunshine.
The special train had started in Derby
and travelled on a circuitous route to London Kings Cross.
It then came up the ECML to Newark,
Lincoln on its way to Cleethorpes.
On the rear was 47826 which would haul
the train out of Cleethorpes to the Ulceby triangle where it would
reverse
allowing the Deltic to be on the front
of the train again.
Now seen at New Barnetby just after its
reversal at Ulceby.
Napier music into the setting sun as the
train approaches Knabbs Bridge where several other enthusiasts can be
seen over the parapet.
