Cheddleton with its impressive Grade II

no. 2944 was motive power for
the day.
After a stop at Consall the stationmaster
gives the right away signal to the guard...
..who then gives the green flag to the
driver to start.
Leaving Consall station which has a
passing loop used on two train days.

Arrival at Kingsley & Froghall
station another well kept station on the line.
We had lunch here in the stations award winning traditional tea room -
very nice!

No 2944 makes a smokey departure from
Kingsley & Froghall with the 11.55 to
Cheddleton.

After arrival back at Cheddleton this is
the view of the MPD from the station with train about to depart for
Kingsley & Froghall.
N7 No. 69621 stands in the yard at
Cheddleton surrounded by diesel locos.
S160 No. 5197 undergoing restoration in
the shed. The loco had spent a large part of its working life in the
Chinese coalfields.
