The Cheshireman - cont.
Cleethorpes to Chester 17th November 2007

Arrival at Chester station was 30 mins early as a water stop at Stalybridge was not required.

60009 stands at platform 7 with the special train from Cleethorpes.

Pulling out of station with ECS in beautiful low winter sunshine.

The complete train will be turned on the triangle ready for a 1610 hrs departure back to Lincolnshire.

After seeking (and finding!) suitable refreshment in a local hostelry we return to Chester station as night falls and
makes photography difficult. The stock for our return is seen in the siding on right of picture.

60009 gives an impressive display of exhaust as it heads towards its stock in station sidings.

Now on train, and about 45 mins late already, the special is ready to shunt into Chesters platform 4 for boarding.
