44871 pulls away from Cleethorpes somewhat later than its planned 0630 departure time.

47786 and 47760 remain at Cleethorpes having pulled the steam special in from the Barnetby stabling point earlier in day.

Photo taken some minutes before departure from Cleethorpes - a problem on braking system required last
minute repairs - then the special had to wait to follow the 7:00 to Barton-on-Humber and the 7:18 to Manchester Airport.


The special train pulls into Grimsby Town station about 54 mins later than planned.

After arrival at Chester station 14 mins early - all of the lost time and a bit more made up!

Now seen 15 mins before departure is due - 44871 hauled the train as far as Brightside (Sheffield),
where it was replaced by 47786 "Roy Castle OBE", which took the train back to Cleethorpes.

It`s now about 1945 in the evening at Hathersage Station in the Hope Valley as 44871 returns towards Sheffield.
