The line was truncated in the mid 1990`s and this crossing removed when Lakeside station was built and the formation to
Witts End (previously zoo station) was abandoned. The crossing has been reinstated but the line now turns seawards
rather than following the main road towards Pleasure Island Theme Park. Pic- 1991


Witts End station, formerly zoo station, was the southern terminus in Sept 1991.


Having run round train at Witts End we see a Kingsway bound train passing the small amusement park now swept away by
a new Events Arena, a small craft shopping development and the new 2006 line to North Sea Lane. Pic 1991
