CCLR Gala 23rd May 2004


Battison, a diesel engined steam outline 2-6-4 tank engine at Lakeside station


"Battison" at Kingsway station. This engine is now resident at Cleethorpes having been exchanged for
one of the Severn-Lamb locos. Although 50 yrs old it was its first outing this weekend on revenue earning trains.

"Smokey Joe" returned to Cleethorpes for the gala. It was the first steam loco to operate
on the CCLR in mid 1990`s


"Smokey Joe" runs parallel to the car park at the Kingsway end of line.

CCLR represented at the York Railfest 29th May 2004


"Sutton Belle" with SMR coaches and "Battison" on rear, represented the CCLR on the 15 inch gauge track
at the National Railway Museum`s "Railfest" which ran from 29th May to 6th June 2004.
York Minster can be seen in distance.
