The final train on the old formation to Kingsway station passes
the new works at a crawl - 9th July 2000
After the final train has passed the old formation is removed in
order to connect the new deviation route - 9th July 2000
New track panels being lifted into position - 9th July 2000
With the old route severed work continues into the late evening
to connect the new route.
The first train entered the new line at approx 2240hrs on 9th July
2000
Sandy River No. 24 passes through the new floodgate and onto the
new viaduct - 14th July 2000
