60th Anniversary Gala - 3rd to 5th May 2008
The CCLR celebrated 60 years of seaside railway operation at Cleethorpes
by running continuously for 60 hours over the
Bank Holiday. Visiting locomotive "Owl", from Kirklees Lt Railway,
at Lakeside prior to test run with stock 29/04/08
KLR "Owl" at Kingsway with first test train with stock in preparation
for gala weekend. 29/4/08
Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railways "The Bug" on test run at Lakeside

"The Bug" on initial gauging run passing "Owl", on service train,
at Lakeside Loop 2/5/08
"The Bug" returning from its test run to Kingsway seen at Discovery
Halt.
It`s 15 mins after sunset and "Owl" prepares to depart for North
Sea Lane with the 2055 service
on 3rd May 2008 - the first night of the 60 hours continuous running.
No24 with the 2125hrs departure from Kingsway to North Sea Lane
also on 3/5/08
No 24 seen later at Lakeside taking water. 24 and "Owl" shared the
night service by changing engines at Lakeside.
"Owl" in platform 3 at Lakeside approx 2200 hrs 3/5/08 where the
Cleethorpes Beer Festival is in full swing!
