The line up at the engine shed first thing in the morning. Left
to right from rear 24, Mountaineer, Effie, Pet (from Sherwood Forest Railway),
Cagney (Rhyl), Sutton Belle, Yvette, Red Dragon (Windmill Farm Railway).
Steam raising now well advanced. Sutton Belle is seen behind Red
Dragon on left hand road,
Hawk (Kirklees Light Railway) is behind Yvette on middle road.
Whilst waiting for steam engines are oiled up and polished - and
there`s time for a chat!

Later in day Hawk seen on members special at new North Sea Lane
terminus. Unfortunately the new extension
was not fully open for this gala and only members and demonstration
trains were permitted on it.

A cheery wave from guard of two coach push-pull shuttle train worked
by Pet with the Cagney at rear.

Mountaineer seen crossing Meridian Road on new extension with a
members train for North Sea Lane.
Mountaineer returning from North Sea Lane terminus having just negotiated
the new passing loop near Greenwich Meridian Line.

No. 24 ventures up the new extension on a test run having experienced
lubrication problems earlier in day.
