Bala Lake Railway
19th June 2022
We arrived at Llanuwchllyn
station well before the departure of the first train on a chilly Sunday
morning.
Down at the shed "George B", an 0-4-0
quarry Hunslet, was just being washed by the crew as steam was being
raised.
Nearly time to go off shed.
Looking back towards the station
We are now at the far end of the line as
"George B" runs around its train.
Having returned to Llanuwchllyn
the crew are now replenishing the coal supply and taking water.
The driver oils up the loco as the
fireman trims the coal.
In the museum is Peckett 0-6-0
"Triassic" hopefully awaiting overhaul.
Outside is a fine rake of slate wagons.
Second train of the day seen leaving for
Bala.
A fine railway!
