Mablethorpe
Miniature Railway
15th
April 2017
I`ve been meaning to photograph the 7.25
inch Mablethorpe Miniature Railway for some time, but never seemed to
have a camera with me, until today!
The railway is on a well maintained site
with a circular track running around a putting green, situated near the
boating lake at Queens Park.
It was proving very popular today and at
£1 a ticket (two trips round the circuit) it`s good value.
The tunnel provides secure storage for
the stock when the railway is closed.
The freelance loco No7 "Lewis" is powered
by a petrol engine and is of 4-4wPM
wheel arrangement.
Returning to the station on the seaward
side - the promenade is just at the top of the steps - and it`s my
favourite beach in Lincolnshire!
