The first train of the day crosses the canal bridge to enter St.Valery-sur-Somme
at 1145 on Sunday 20th September 2009,
Hauled by Buffaud & Robatel 0-6-2 no 3714 "Beton-Bazoches".
With its train in St.Valery Port station the loco. no 3714 runs
around.
The loco ran light to St.Valery Ville station where the crew now
climb back aboard to return down the quay to Port station.
With only a 15 minute turn around here the train is soon away again
at 1200 - seen here between St.Valery Port and St.Valery Ville.
Shortly after Ville station the line turns sharply left and over
the canal bridge again towards Noyelles-sur-Mer.
Today was "Les Journées du Patrimoine", a heritage day on
the railway, and saw steam working of a mixed train from
St.Valery Ville to Cayeux-sur-Mer. This section of line is normally
only worked by diesel locomotives.
The train of passenger and goods vehicles, the first of two workings
in the day,
crosses the road near Lanchères on its way to Cayeux.
